Life as we know it

Firstly the basic constituent of happiness is actually desire or want. A passive mind that actually does not react or even respond to the various experiences of feels no happiness either. The opposite of happiness is sorrow. But even sorrow is a constituent off life’s happiness and this is the unique paradox of life. True happiness lies not in a life without sorrow, but in coming to terms with and accepting sorrow and then being supremely satisfied with life as we know it. The people who have experienced the sorrows of life also have desire and they are definitely not colorless like the soul which is passive.
